Rudra Pratap and Ns Liyaa Krishnan Crowned Champions at National Under-07 Chess Championship 2026 in Nagpur

The All India Chess Federation (AICF) has confirmed the results of the National Under-07 Chess Championship 2026, which was held in Nagpur from 30 June to 4 July 2026. The five-day national-age-group event brought together the country’s brightest young talents in the under-7 category, with separate Boys and Girls sections crowning their respective champions by the conclusion of play on 4 July.

Boys Section

Rudra Pratap claimed the top honours in the Boys category, finishing ahead of the field to take the national title. Aksh Shrivastava secured the runner-up position, while Nimalan Dharanipathy completed the podium in third place. The final standings in the Boys section were released by the AICF as part of the official certificate list published after the conclusion of the championship.

Girls Section

In the Girls category, Ns Liyaa Krishnan emerged as the champion, capping a strong performance across the event. Aaditri Majumdar finished as the runner-up, with Rihanshi taking the third-place finish. The trio headlined a competitive Girls field that featured several promising under-7 players from across India.

The Girls section featured additional promising names whose final positions were similarly listed by the federation as part of the official rankings.
