GCL 2026, Day 6: One game point separates Alpine APL Pipers, FYERS American Gambits and Ganges Grandmasters at the top

In Bengaluru, the Global Chess League 2026 reached Day 6 as the Ganges Grandmasters defeated the Alpine APL Pipers 12–4 before beating the FYERS American Gambits 13–5.

The double result kept the franchise team league’s top three separated by a single game point after eight rounds. Alpine APL Pipers and FYERS American Gambits remain level on 15 Match Points and 73 Game Points, while the Ganges Grandmasters have 15 Match Points and 72 Game Points.
