Western Asian Youth Chess Championships 2026 Set for Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The All India Chess Federation (AICF) will host the Western Asian Youth Chess Championships 2026 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India from 22 to 31 October 2026. This youth chess championship is open to players who participated in the National Age Groups (Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17) Chess Championships 2025. Grandmasters, women grandmasters, international masters and women international masters are exempt from the national championship requirement.

The tournament will bring together emerging chess talents from the western Asian region, providing a competitive platform for players across multiple age categories. The event is organized under the auspices of the AICF and follows the federation’s standard guidelines for youth competitions.

Eligibility & Registration

Eligibility is restricted to those who competed in the 2025 National Age Groups Championships. Interested participants must complete the mandatory Google form to submit their entries. All registrations are subject to approval by the AICF and the championship organizers. The registration deadline is 15 October 2026, after which no entries will be accepted.

The entry fee for participants is Rs. 15,150, covering registration and bank charges only. This amount does not include accommodation.
