ChessBooks.in (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the online store at https://chessbooks.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and other applicable laws.

1. Who we are

ChessBooks.in is a specialist online store selling physical chess books. We do not sell digital, downloadable, or virtual products. Our contact details are at the end of this page.

We only collect the information needed to serve you:

Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.
Order information: products purchased, quantities, prices, order status, and delivery tracking details.

We do not collect or store your payment card numbers. Card payments are processed by our payment gateway, Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

To process and fulfil your orders, including payment processing through Razorpay.
To arrange delivery through our shipping partner, Shipmozo, and its courier network.
To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
To send you order updates and, only if you have opted in, marketing communications about new arrivals and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.

4. Who we share data with

Payment processors (Razorpay) to complete transactions.
Logistics providers (Shipmozo and courier partners) to deliver your order.
Service providers such as our web hosting provider (Hostinger), who process data only on our instructions.
Authorities, only where required by law.

We never sell your personal data, and we never share it for third-party marketing.

5. Cookies
